Let me start this out by saying, I am not a beauty blogger or professional beauty anything in any way.
I am sharing the things that work for me and my super sensitive skin. Also – I do not use a ton of products and I don’t wear any make up ever. I am super simple in my skin care routine and I haven’t had time to wear make up for over 13 years (since my first child was born).
Plus I’m super lazy and I’d rather sleep in then spend an extra 15-30 minutes on my face.
I like my face as it is….
Face Moisturizer
I LOVE this lotion. Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Ultra Gentle Face Moisturizer.
I’ve been using this for over five years now. My skin tends to dry out or break out with almost every single moisturizer I’ve ever tried. It’s super annoying. This one has been such a great addition and works great for my skin. I’ve never once broken out because of this moisturizer. It’s light and gives my face just what it needs, where it needs it.
Face Soap
This bar of soap has been so helpful for my skin!
I’ll be honest, I’m a teen from the 90s and my main face wash was that horrible peach or apricot scrub with the dirt in it, it scraped up your face, made it feel all clean and shiny. I was totally addicted to it for years.. then after my first kid was born, it made my face DRY. Not sure if there was a correlation, but that’s when I first noticed the change.
I started using the Dove Sensitive Skin Soap Bar in the shower on my face. It worked, it was gentle enough it didn’t dry me out and strong enough to make my face feel CLEAN.
I love it! This has been my go to for cleaning face since 2007! It’s not super expensive, and a bar lasts me a very long time. When I’ve run out and used our regular soap (Zest), eeeesh.. my face gets so dry. This soap has saved my face!.
For my lips… and nose.. what?
Ok, this is my FAVORITE product of all time, seriously. This has saved my lips AND my nose from destruction!
I have been using this since the 90s.
When someone asks you what would you bring with you to a deserted island… this is typically my answer.
I use this on both my lips and my nose.
I have severe allergies, and I’m blowing/wiping my nose ALL THE TIME, so my nose is typically super dry and rough by the end of the night. When I’ve had an allergy attack that day, it’s red and raw.
I use this EVERY NIGHT before I go to bed. I put in on my lips, and my nose. I put a nice thick coat too. When I wake up in the morning, all fresh nose that’s no long dry and sore. It completely heals my nose every night.
The only time it doesn’t fully work, is if I’ve got a cold, and my nose is super bad all night. Usually that’s a whole different type of sore/raw skin happening and I’m usually using it during the day as well to try to heal the skin in between tissue use.
So there you have it.. my super simple “beauty” routine.. Hahaha.. I’m so not about a beauty routine. It’s just what I use to keep my skin comfortable.
