I’ve still got lots of history and information to get posted, but I’d like to start a weekly weigh in on Fridays.
To show my progress I will be discusing these items:
- What worked for me this week
- Tracking
- Food
- Moving My Body
- Results of Weekly Weigh In
- Measurements
Let’s start with what worked for me this week.
I tracked EVERYDAY in my iTrackBites App.

I also tracked HONESTLY. This tends to be my biggest problem. I am my own worst enemy. I would track the chips, but let’s be honest, I had two servings, not one. The only person you’re lying to is yourself. And it’s not helping with the weight loss journey.
Check out this blog post on why I LOVE iTrackBites!
Smoothie!
I made my Smoothie 5/7 days this week. As a meal replacement. I did not “eat” breakfast, I drank it. And I would have a super light lunch (more like a snack) holding more points to be able to eat a heavier dinner. I plan on changing this up next week, by eating a heavier lunch and a lighter dinner. We shall see if there is a difference with my weigh in next Friday!
Skipped Dessert.
This is a tough one. I’m major into the sugar after a salty. I did not skip dessert all week. I skipped it maybe 3 of the 7 days and only found myself looking for a sweet after salty a couple times this week. Versus after every meal, breakfast/lunch/dinner. And when I chose a sweet treat, I chose some teddy grahams and a tablespoon of whipped cream. Or an ice cream treat that had reduced fat ice cream and was only 3 points. It worked I didn’t need to eat all of the cookies in the box or 3 cupcakes. I managed to feel SATISFIED this week making better decisions.
Moved My Body
I use a Fitbit One, which is a device you clip on versus wearing on your wrist. I’ve worn my Fitbit everyday for over five years. I know when I’m not moving enough. This week, I’ve been pushing myself just to get to 8,000 steps a day. I’ve managed this 4/7 days. Here are my numbers:
- Fri. 6/12/20 = 6,073
- Sat. 6/13/20 = 6,062
- Sun. 6/14/20 = 7,391
- Mon. 6/15/20 = 8,100
- Tues. 6/16/20 = 9,023
- Wed. 6/17/20 = 8,868
- Thurs. 6/18/20 = 8,190
Now, to be fair, I did not start pushing myself until Monday to force myself into 8,000 steps each day. I’m hoping for better numbers this coming week, but I moved my body!
I was able to get these step just by walking around the house, in the backyard, and in place in front of the tv!
The RESULTS!

This weeks weigh in resulted in… A LOSS!!!!
I am down 2.4 pounds this week!
A 2.4 pound LOSS!! I am ecstatic!
This was definitely a successful week!
My total loss from my heaviest ever weight – is 21.2 pounds. And my total loss from June 1st is 9.2 pound.
The Measurements

I started tracking my body measurements on January 1st, 2020. When i measured again on June 1st, 2020, there really weren’t any changes. I had maintained both my weight and inches for six months.
HOWEVER!! I just measured today to see…. and there are positive results!!!
Check it out!
Body Area | Inches Lost |
Upper Arms | 0 |
Thighs | -1 |
Calves | 0 |
Bust | -1 |
Under Bust | -2.75 |
Hips | -1 |
Waist | -3 |
Neck | -.25 |
This was super exciting! I’ve lost 9 inches in 19 days!
All in all, a VERY SUCCESSFUL week!!! I’m super happy with these results and I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing and this coming week, I’m hoping for 7/7 8,000 step days!

What some of your accomplishments this week? Did you lose? Did you gain? What can you do different this coming week?
Way to go!
Thank you!!!
